Nicolas Gindt

Nicolas Gindt, a graduate of the École Centrale de Lille, joined SNCF at the end of 1992. Until 2009, he held a variety of positions, from Passenger and Freight Traffic to Business Unit and Human Resources, as well as managing establishments in the Normandy, Brittany and Champagne-Ardenne regions. 

Between 2002 and 2005, he was in charge of the National Social Observatory at SNCF headquarters. 

In 2009, he turned to logistics, first in rail freight, where for five years he managed VFLI, then the Île-de-France region at Geodis Road Transport. At the end of 2015, he left France for Australia to become Chairman and CEO of Keolis-Downer Victoria, the operator of Melbourne's tramway network. 

Returning to France in 2020, he took over as interim International Sales Director of Keolis, before being appointed Strategy Director of Rail Logistics Europe on October 1, 2020. He has been Chairman of the Captrain holding company since February 1, 2024.
