Luc Chaumette
After studying international relations, defense and security, Luc Chaumette went on to earn a doctorate in public law, specializing in nuclear safety and transport. He gradually became involved in logistics, production and the management of crisis situations and high-stakes projects.
In 2001, he joined the SNCF group at STVA (Société de Transport de Véhicules Automobiles), formerly a subsidiary of SNCF Logistics, where he held the positions of Operations Manager, then Site Manager, before becoming International Operations Manager. In 2010, he joined Réseau Ferré de France (RFF), then SNCF Infra, where he worked on construction capacity, line openings and station capacity. For the next 11 years, he worked at SNCF Réseau on train path production, operational management of rail traffic, operational excellence including innovation and digital aspects, and passenger information.
Before joining Rail Logistics Europe, Luc Chaumette was in charge of rail system performance within the Operations and Services Division, and National Director of Operations, responsible for operational management and control of disruptions and crises on the national rail network.
